Known as DMA Design during its early years, this Scottish-based developer initially focused on producing Amiga, Atari ST, and Commodore 64 games. DMA released Grand Theft Auto in 1997, which was a huge worldwide success.
After the release of Grand Theft Auto III in 2001 the company was renamed Rockstar North and became part of the Rockstar Games umbrella. It continued the Grand Theft Auto franchise with Grand Theft Auto IV (2008) and Grand Theft Auto V (2013). Both games are considered amongst the best releases of all time.
Playtech
