Along with the Moto G 3rd Gen, Motorola opted to announce a new Android Smartphone, named the Moto X Play.     Even though both the Moto X Play and the Moto G3 are made out of plastic, the Motorola Moto X Play has a metal side band, which gives it a more premium feel when compared to the plastic built Motorola Moto G 3rd generation.

    The Motorola Moto X Play is 10.9 mm thick whereas the Moto G3 is about 11.6 mm thick.     The Motorola Moto X Play has a 5.5 inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, features a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz and 2 GB of RAM, a 21 MP primary camera and a 5 MP secondary camera. The device comes with either 16 or 32 GB of internal storage space and is powered by a 3,630 mAh battery.

    The Motorola Moto G 3rd Generation has a 5 inch 1280 x 720 pixel HD display, is powered by a 1.4 GHz Snapdragon 410 processor with is 64 bit enabled and has either 1 or 2 GB of RAM, depending on the internal storage option you choose to go with. Talking of which, the device has either 8 or 16 GB of internal storage space, accompanied by 1 or 2 GB of RAM respectively. The device also has 13 MP primary and 5 MP secondary camera, and also has a 2,470 mAh battery unit.

    The Motorola Moto X Play is water repellent whereas, the Motorola Moto G 3rd generation is IP X7 rated which means it can be immersed in water up to 1 m of depth for 30 minutes.

    Pricing:

    The Motorola Moto G3 is priced in at RS. 12,999 for the 8 GB internal storage space variant, whereas the Motorola Moto X Play starts at RS. 17,999 for the 16 GB storage option.

    Software:

    Both the Motorola Moto G 3rd generation and the Motorola Moto X Play runs on the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop software, and surely will be receiving all the upcoming latest Android software update as soon as it gets released, as we have seen with other Motorola Moto devices recently.
