    Online PDF Editor

Since their inception, portable document files have gained wide usability in different industries. The reason for this is that they have safety features and design capabilities that other document applications do not have. You will normally find PDF files as:

    • Application forms
    • Company advertising material such as brochures
    • Contracts
    • E-books

As much as PDF is a good file format, it might have certain limitations hence the need to work with other document formats.

    Online PDF Editor

Most users find it easier to edit documents in Word or in Excel. If you do not have Adobe or you are not the one who created a PDF file, you might find it necessary to convert to other formats and then edit.

A good example of an online PDF merge tool is Docs.Zone. It is an easy to use online PDF software.

Though it is a paid service, the fee is small when compared to the level of usability you get from the tool. You have the option of paying roughly $10 per month or paying an annual fee of roughly $60. For this amount, you will be able to:

    • Convert PDF files to Word or Excel formats
    • Convert PDFs to image format
    • Combine PDF files into one
    • Save web pages as PDF files
    • Convert non-PDF files to PDF

To use Docs.Zone, first you have to sign in. If you are a first time user, register by clicking on the signup button on the top right hand corner of your screen.

You will have the choice of a monthly or yearly membership. If you constantly work with PDFs, pick the annual membership as it will be cheaper in the long run.

    Merging PDF files with Docs.Zone

Docs.Zone is also a useful tool for combining PDF files. You can combine files by following the steps below:

    1. Click on the tab labeled ‘Combine files to PDF’.
    2. Select files from your hard drive to load to the converter.
    3. Click ‘Start’ when you have uploaded all the files you want to combine.
    4. The progress bar will move, showing you the progress of merging the documents. Be patient as this can take a few minutes.
    5. Your files will move to the inbox section on the home page, from where you can download them on to your hard drive.

Convert PDF files to .doc and .xls

Docs.Zone also allows you to convert your PDF files to Excel and Word. You can do this using the PDF to Word and ‘PDF to Excel’ tabs.

You can convert one or more files by loading them into the converter. The conversion process will be the same as stated above, and the files will save in the inbox.

Remember to download them 6 hours from the time of conversion otherwise they will no longer be available in the inbox.

    Convert PDF to Images

PDF files can also convert to image files using the PDF to Images tab. After you upload your files to the converter and the conversion takes place, the output will be in .zip format.

Your images will retain their resolution. You will be able to access and edit them on any device using image editors.

Docs.Zone is just one example. You can have a look online to try out other online editors and pick the one that works best for you.
